What is National Ice Cube Day?

They’re small and mighty. They refresh your day, your drink and so much more! Europe’s leading ice
brand, The Ice Co, is reinstating National Ice Cube Day for a second year on June 21 st 2024.
Since 1860, The Ice Co, has been championing ice in all forms and now, it is dedicating a national day
every summer to celebrating ice cubes – after all, ice cubes are a top-selling item in the frozen aisle,
particularly in summer, naturally!
In a recent consumer survey, The Ice Co found that a whopping 71% of consumers agree it is important
to have ice at home when entertaining. 13% also said they felt embarrassed when they run out of ice
when hosting. It’s a good job The Ice Co. manufactures five billion ice cubes a year… enough to go
around the world four times!

When is National Ice Cube Day?

National Ice Cube Day takes place every year on 21st June.

So why the 21st of June?

There’s nothing that says summer more than the sound of ice cubes clinking in the glass, right? The sun
is shining, and temperatures are warmer and ice-cold, refreshing drinks are needed! Summer is known
and loved for BBQs and gatherings in the garden, picnics in the park, time on the beach and staycations
– all of which icy drinks are central to.
