What is National Share Scheme Day?

Employee share schemes provide opportunities to create life-changing wealth for individuals, and they also stabilise companies, accelerate growth and boost the fortunes of the nation.

So let’s celebrate National Share Scheme Day by raising awareness of the ENORMOUS power of sharing.

Data shows that:

• 93% of company leaders said their share scheme helped their company grow……and 95% said shares improve employee loyalty.
• Many share schemes have tax incentives and to date, £480,000,000’s worth of Income Tax has been saved by British companies with schemes in place.
• For every 100,000 companies that have a scheme, we can add £1bn to the economy.
• Share schemes spread wealth and prosperity.

National Share Scheme Day will take place on May 22nd annually.

How to get involved in National Share Scheme Day?

If you don’t have a share scheme:

1. If you’re a company leader, why not launch your share scheme today? Set things off with a bang with an all-staff celebration and make sure you post your announcement to social media using the hashtag above!
2. Talk on social media about the benefits of having a scheme using the hashtags #SharingIsWinning and #NatShareSchemeDay. Tag in your local businesses and MPs for greater impact.

If you do have a share scheme:

1. Have a company party to celebrate the unique culture that you share. Post the pics online and don’t forget to use the hashtags, #SharingIsWinning and #NatShareSchemeDay.
